Midtown is looking for an Interiors Manager to add to our world class organization. Midtown is committed to delivering world-class hospitality to members and we understand the importance the corporate Facilities & Development team plays in ensuring the consistency of that experience. OVERVIEW OF ROLE
This position will manage the presentation of our spaces across the Midtown Athletic Club portfolio, including all clubs in the United States and Canada and prospective clubs to come. As part of the corporate Facilities & Development team, the Interiors Manager will contribute to delivering spaces that fit the Midtown brand standard while maintaining cost and operational efficiencies.
The position is based out of our HQ office in Chicago but will require travel to all 8 Midtown locations as projects require.
The role is hybrid work-from-home and in the office. It will require travel to our 8 clubs (4 in the Chicagoland area and Atlanta, GA, Weston FL, Rochester NY, & Montreal, Canada).
CORE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on both coordinated and independent projects to realize completion of FFE renovation projects
Identify, source and procure FFE, materials and/or specialty equipment, as needed
Take ownership of the presentation of our spaces – interior and exterior – to proactively and reactively ensure brand standards in design and quality are maintained
Play a key role in managing, identifying and executing tasks through our Like New Audit process
Maintain a positive, reciprocal relationship with our design and trade partners
Coordinate with club operators regarding project schedules and logistics
Track personal inputs to overall project costs as well as logistics of FFE and labor inputs
Own and maintain robust documentation throughout tasks, e.g. project drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and invoices
Contribute to brand standard resources for wider reference
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION
Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding design documents, including specifications and drawings
Must possess a high comfort level with evaluating and sourcing FFE
Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, operators, contractors, designers and trade partners
Minimum of one year of design experience
High level of computer literacy in MS Office Suite, Project and Revit, plus ability to quickly pick up other software as necessary
Knowledge of skilled trades (e.g. carpentry, electrical, millwork) a plus
Degree from an accredited university preferable
