Midtown is looking for a Marketing Project Coordinator to oversee our marketing materials request system and on-time marketing material delivery.

The Position
As the Marketing Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the marketing requests that come in from our clubs—from event posters to sales promotions to email campaigns. You will work across every vertical of our marketing system, including creative, digital, and strategy, as well as with every club in the company. You will lean on strong communication skills and pinpoint timeline planning in order to keep our team, and the club teams, accountable to delivering projects. In other words, you are the glue that keeps our team moving forward.

Marketing Project Coordinator responsibilities:

  • You will coordinate our marketing materials request system, The Junction, which includes reading incoming requests, assigning them out to members of the marketing team, ensuring everyone is aligned on deliverables and deadlines, and communicating between the club and corporate marketing teams on project progress.
    • You know you’re successful when:
      • The club and corporate teams are clear on what is being made and when.
      • If we might miss a deadline, all stakeholders are made aware as early as possible.
      • Marketing requests are processed and assigned to the team promptly as they enter the system.
  • You track ongoing corporate marketing initiatives to ensure the marketing team is clear on deliverables and deadlines. These types of projects include signature program branding, like the creation of a new cycle class brand, and new-member onboarding campaigns, like a referral program.
    • You know you’re successful when:
      • You stay on top of company priorities to make sure the team is working on the highest-impact projects.
      • The marketing team is clear on project deliverables and deadlines.


Marketing Project Coordinator requirements:

  • Your organization is on point. You are comfortable keeping track of multiple concurrent projects and staying on top of a series of deadlines. You’re like a juggler, but for calendars.
  • You are a clear, effective over-communicator. You take pride in creating understanding across teams. You make use of every channel available, from email to phone to good-old-fashioned face-to-face talking, in order to achieve alignment and commitment to projects—and to keep everyone aware of progress and upcoming deadlines.
  • You don’t like the smell of excuses. Instead of letting setbacks stop you, and the projects you manage, you rise above and find ways to get things done.
  • You are hungry to learn. This position touches every aspect of marketing and all areas of the club. In order to truly excel, you’ll have learn about tennis, fitness, direct mail marketing, search engine optimization, and more.
  • You aren’t afraid to hold people accountable. Most of our marketing projects span across multiple teams, so one person being late on their deliverable can affect many others.
  • A college degree and a cover letter (applications without cover letters will not be reviewed). While this is an entry-level position within our department, it requires a rare skillset that we want to make sure you’ve honed (and proven).
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
