The Opportunity 
 
Midtown Athletic Club is seeking a passionate and experienced Mobile App Marketing Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the channel strategy for our member mobile app and push notificationsThis includes planning and delivering member-facing content, as well as leading a portfolio of data-driven initiatives, and ultimately, improving both our business and the user experience. 

What You’ll Do 

  • App Content Refresh: Manage content for Midtown’s member app, planning and publishing home screen messaging, ensuring content quality and accuracy for campaigns and regular weekly refreshes, for new/seasonal programming updates, as well as for ad hoc content updates such as menu changes, club hours, updates and policies. 

  • Push Notifications: Lead channel strategy, content planning and execution. 

  • Copywriting & Execution: Write clear and compelling copy for app and push notifications, adapting style and tone to suit the audience and message. Manage copy translation and image requests. 

  • Performance Optimization: Establish, track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for app and push notifications and use data to inform product enhancements and improve content strategy. 

  • Influence and manage delivery of the mobile app product roadmap. 

  • Provide input to user stories and product backlog items and lead prioritization to drive app engagement, user growth, and business objectives 

  • Conduct user research and analysis to identify user needs and opportunities.  

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, working closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure successful execution of product content and features. 

  • Manage ongoing relationships with design/development agencies. 

  • Support app testing. 

  • Stay up to date on the latest mobile app trends and technologies. 

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including internal teams and external partners. 
     

What You Have 
 

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing planning for mobile app and/or website and push channel content. 

  • 2+ years working with the mobile app development lifecycle, from ideation to execution. 

  • 2+ years of experience managing relationships with agencies or external partners. 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline. 

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence and lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.). 

  • An eye for detail to deliver high-quality and accurate member-facing content, with the ability to also zoom out to make/influence strategic decisions. 

  • Passion for the fitness and health industry and a strong understanding of user needs in this space. 

  • Experience using Contentful, OneSignal or similar CMS/customer engagement tools – you’re capable and confident in quickly learning and leveraging new tools. 

 

This role is considered a Hybrid position, located in Chicago.

(In office days are: Monday and Tuesday)

This position's total compensation has a range of $80,000-$90,000 based on experience level.
