The Position

The Pro Shop Sales Manager reports directly to the AGM of Hospitality and is responsible for:

  • Overseeing success of our high-end boutique pro shop

  • Buying all retail merchandise.

  • Merchandising of apparel, equipment and accessories.

  • Attend local trade shows and showrooms.

  • Receiving, inventory and tagging merchandise for display.

  • Re-Merchandising and changing displays frequently to keep shop fresh.

  • Following Standard Operating Procedures for pro shop appearance.

  • Work with accounting on annual budgets and monthly P/L and variance reports.

  • Approving and recording all invoices related to retail orders.

  • Managing Wilson Tennis Pro Incentive Point Program.

  • Track and submit Wilson points for racquets sold by tennis Pros

  • Supervising retail associates and tennis stringers.

  • Hiring and training retail staff accordingly to Midtown guidelines.

  • Performing annual associate performance reviews.

  • Following payroll procedures for retail associates and tennis stringers.

  • Attending and preparing department for club events.

Qualifications

  • 10 years retail or related experience

  • 5 years management experience

  • Possess an outgoing, friendly personality

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrate above average math skills

  • Possess a positive attitude

  • Be organized and punctual

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills

  • Ability to train and teach team members

  • Sound problem solving skills

  • Competency for creative display and promotion of merchandise
