The Position:
As the Adult Racquet Sports Supervisor, you will lead and expand Adult Programs at Windy Hill. This includes overseeing the Adult Instructional Program, USTA and ALTA teams, Flex Leagues, Cardio Tennis, special events, mixers, and our flagship adult introductory program, Tennis in No Time. This position is expected to spend at least 20 hours a week coaching on-court. Reporting to the Racquet Sports Manager, you will collaborate with the Junior Velocity Supervisor and High-Performance Manager to grow tennis participation and support the club's mission.
Responsibilities:
Coaching & On-Court Delivery of Programs
Plan and conduct engaging tennis instructional sessions for adult players of varying skill levels according to our established coaching methodology.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to participants to enhance their skills and enjoyment of the game.
Attend and support team matches, providing strategic advice and motivation.
Plan and execute special events and mixers to enhance member engagement and promote a sense of community.
Adult Programs Tactical Planning & Management:
Develop and implement initiatives to drive success in key performance indicators for Adult Programs.
Analyze program data regularly to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Set the vision for and promote assigned programming.
Coordinate coach assignments for classes, optimizing participant-to-coach ratios.
Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities:
Foster collaboration between the Racquet Sports Department and other club departments.
Manage the adult introductory program, Tennis in No Time, focusing on creating a positive and welcoming environment for beginners.
Organize and coach USTA and ALTA teams, ensuring effective communication, player development, and team cohesion.
Oversee the coordination and execution of Cardio Tennis sessions.
Conduct regular player assessments to evaluate skill development and areas for improvement.
Track participant progress, providing personalized feedback to support continuous improvement and overall retention.
Conduct regular on-court observations of coaching staff, to assess coaching effectiveness, communication skills, and adherence to program goals.
Financial Management & Stewardship:
Analyze financial reports and provide input into budget planning.
Monitor revenue, minimize expenses, and ensure accurate accounting in the department.
Process programming fees, court reservation fees, and league payments.
Relationship Development:
Identify opportunities to increase awareness of tennis programs within the membership.
Engage members in programs and maintain tennis areas for an exceptional facility experience.
Act as the point of contact for participants regarding class availability, progress reports, and program inquiries.
Plan and execute special events and mixers to enhance member engagement and promote a sense of community.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and three to six years of relevant experience coaching and managing tennis programming.
USTA Safe Play approved
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Level 2 Certification in PTR or USPTA preferred.
Hiring Process:
Apply by December 11th, 2023.
Phone interviews with the Racquet Sports Manager. Typically 30 minutes.
Second interviews, including on-court assessment. Typically 120 minutes.
HR checks references.
Final offer made by HR.
Compensation:
This position is hourly, differentiating between on-court and off-court work. Admin work typically pays $15 - $25 hourly, and on-court work ranges from $35 - $55 hourly, commensurate with experience. Performance bonuses are awarded for exceptional work.
Full-Time Consideration:
Eligibility for full-time benefits is 28+ hours a week, but this position is anticipated to be 40 hours a week.
