As an integral part of the leadership team, our Aquatics Assistant Managers inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

  • Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism 
  • Engaging more members in more programs and with more coaches 
  • Commit to the staffing, training, and scheduling of Lifeguard staff
  • Responsible for Lifeguard annual budget
  • Assist in the Recruitment, Training, and Development of aquatics talent 
  • Assist in monitoring aquatics associate’s development and career pathway 
  • Assist in the Developing, delivering, and measuring aquatics programs 
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience 

Our Aquatics Assistant Managers:

  • Have five or more years of management, talent development, and programming experience
  • Have five or more years of swim instruction experience and the ability to teach all age groups
  • Position includes both coaching and administrative hours
  • Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification, CPO or AFO certification
  • Possess the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have collaborative team building and performance management capabilities
  • Weekend hours are a requirement for this position.
