Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Coach to add to our first-class organization. The osition base rate is $22.00 - $24.50 per instructional hour (tiered depending on experience, education and certifications)

The Position
As an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

  • Demonstrating professionalism, resilience, continued growth and optimism
  • Build lesson plans based on the Midtown curriculum and teach to expectations
  • Promoting and providing private lessons
  • Have excellent engagement skills to build trust and open communication
  • Maintaining aquatics areas and equipment to promote an enjoyable experience
  • Provide availability to teach during Group Lesson times which may include: Monday - Friday 9am-11am & 3:45pm - 6:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 9:00am-1:00pm.


Our Aquatics Coaches:

  • Have competitive swimming background or swim coach experience
  • Experience and Enthusiasm to teach Group lesson for the following age groups: 6-months to 36-months, 3-year to 5 year, & 6-year to 12-year.
  • Possess our core values: Win Together, Glass Half Full mindset, be Passionate About Helping Others, always strive to Be Better Than Yesterday, and Be Kind.
  • Current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications recommended (American Red Cross preferred)
  • Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
