Midtown is looking for a Cafe Manager to add to our world-class team.
The Position
As an important part of the club leadership team, our Cafe Managers are friendly and attentive professionals who strive to delight our members and guests by:
Demonstrating sound judgment, professionalism and optimism while directing the work of café associates
Inspiring a sense of community and providing personal attention
Planning daily menus with a focus on freshly prepared dishes
Promoting new menu items, daily specials, and café services
Organizing special events with a focus on driving café revenues
Quickly and efficiently taking and preparing food and beverage orders
Maintaining café areas to promote a safe and enjoyable member experience
Implementing Standard Operating Procedures to ensure profitability of cafe
Delivering café services according to company values and brand image
Preparing budgets, regular variance statements and annual audits
Overseeing cash register and balancing cash drawer
Assisting with inventory of product and supplies
Our Cafe Managers:
Have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a café or restaurant environment
Have a minimum of 1 year of experience catering special events and/or private functions
Are able to effectively supervise front of house responsibilities
Possess proven ability to hire, train and lead productive service-minded associates
Have the ability to work gracefully and quickly under pressure
Have a working knowledge of food preparation
Have great personalities that naturally connect with a wide variety of people
Possess a keen memory and delightful sense of humor
Are able to quickly make calculations when handling money
Are highly organized and efficient
