The Opportunity:

The Digital Marketing Manager leads Midtown’s digital brand awareness and new member lead generation across multiple touchpoints including and not limited to email, SEO, paid media, and onsite content strategy.

The marketing team is based in our HQ office in Chicago (3611 N Kedzie Ave.) and supports all club locations.

  • The role is hybrid work-from-home and required to also come in the office in Chicago 2 days per week (Monday/Tuesday)
  • The position is based in the Chicago area and will involve limited travel to Midtown club locations

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Generation & Growth: critical support role driving lead generation for Midtown’s family of luxury athletic clubs located in the US & Canada, with strong focus on owned (email) and earned (SEO) channels.
  • Email: own and execute Midtown’s email marketing campaigns; continuously test flows, segmentation, cadence and creative.
  • Search/Answer Engine Visibility: lead and own Midtown’s organic visibility within Google and key AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, etc), owning SEO-focused onsite content and optimization roadmap.
  • Website Content Management: oversee development and optimization of new pages (categories, blogs, FAQs) aimed at addressing key prospective member questions while expanding Midtown’s reach within the luxury fitness space.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): leverage analytics (GA4, heatmapping) to optimize landing pages, user funnels, and run tests aimed at improving lead conversion rate.
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: partner with internal teams (RevOps, Club Leadership, Creative, IT, Sales) to identify, prioritize and execute new member acquisition initiatives. 

What You Have:

  • 5 – 8 years of related experience, including 3+ years’ of direct hands-on experience in at least 3 of the following disciplines : SEO, email marketing, paid media management, web analytics (GA4), conversion rate optimization, and content strategy
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
  • High proficiency:
    • in key digital marketing platforms and tools, the most critical of which are Google Analytics, Hubspot, Semrush, Google Ads, and Facebook Business Manager.
    • in Excel data analysis and visualization
    • leveraging AI-based tools to supercharge research and workflows
  • Digital marketing agency experience preferred
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish a plus
  • Hospitality-focused mindset

Salary Range: Starting at $80,000. The actual compensation will depend on experience, and/or additional skills you bring to the table.

What you can expect after submitting your application

While there can be the occasional exception, the interview process typically takes 2-3 weeks and includes the following steps.

  1. A 30 to 60-minute virtual Teams call with a member of the Talent Team to discuss Midtown, the role, and your background and experience.
  2. A 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager, ideally in person, where you'll dive deeper into the technical side of the role.
  3. For certain positions in IT and Marketing, a project or technical assignment to assess the skills necessary for the role.
  4. A 90-minute panel interview with project presentation (if applicable) with members of the team.
  5. A 30-60-minute final interview with a member of the Executive Team.

You'll receive an update on your application within 48 hours of each interview. Please note that, depending on the specifics of the role, it may take up to a week to finalize offer decisions.
