Midtown is looking for a Facilities Technician to ensure that our facilities run smoothly.

The Position
As an integral part of the Facilities team, our Facilities Associates ensure a safe and high functioning environment for members, guests, and associates.

Facilities Associate responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Facility Manager

  • Identify and troubleshoot facility repairs and concerns through daily walk throughs

  • Provide regular upkeep and maintenance of all club property

  • Complete and respond to all assigned work orders, trouble calls, and emergency facility calls

  • Consistently present a pleasant, attentive and courteous attitude toward members, guests and fellow associates

  • Take pride in themselves and their work

Facilities Associate requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance

  • Have working knowledge in one or many of the following: roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and/or painting, with certification or an interest in further training and certification

  • Possess functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs of building systems and equipment

  • Maintain or have an interest in obtaining certified pool operator designation (highly preferred)

  • Experience working with pools, tennis courts and/or fitness equipment a bonus

  • Be comfortable with computers and basic data management, or an interest and ability to learn

  • Comfortable with identifying and troubleshooting facility and equipment related issues

  • Are self-directed requiring little supervision once a task is assigned

  • Understand prioritization and a sense of urgency; able to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
