Apply Now Financial Systems Analyst Job in Chicago

We work at Midtown to inspire people to transform their lives. Our Financial Systems Analyst does so by supporting the evolution, design, and support of our EPM and ERP systems.

Midtown is implementing Adaptive Planning across our organization. In this role, you will support the development of new Adaptive models, reporting views, dashboards, and financial and personnel reports. You will also be responsible for maximizing the day-to-day functionality of Midtown's ERP, Workday, by assisting with the development and maintenance of the system while also collaborating cross-functionally with department and business leaders. We are seeking an individual with financial planning systems experience, preferably with Adaptive Planning.

To be successful in this role, you need the ability to think systematically across multiple business processes, understand both the big picture and small details of our financial systems, work collaboratively to define business objectives and strategy—then translate on that strategy to best practices. You will report directly to the Director of Financial Systems, and work closely with the FP&A, Accounting, and procurement functions within the Finance department. The team is based in our HQ office in Chicago, though the role can be remote, and works across all club locations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Workday Adaptive configuration, including setup and functional configuration

  • Build, support and manage Adaptive Planning models

  • Provide application support for functional users

  • Configure business processes within our financial systems to optimize effective workflows and system usage

  • Coordinate systems upgrades and testing and work in a team environment to develop and maintain application programs

  • Assist with needs assessments, system integrations, design support, and general change management support

  • Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data integrity and standardized end user processes

  • Collaborate with Workday and Adaptive Planning engineers, other 3rd party software applications, along with internal Finance and IT resources, to communicate functional requirements to consultants and configure the systems to meet the business objectives

  • Identify and execute on opportunities for process automation

  • Offer solutions to gain process efficiency and improve data integrity

  • Ensure all third-party applications are pushing data efficiently to Workday and Adaptive (and if they are not, identify how data will be presented)

  • Design and develop custom integrations across member management software, Adaptive Planning, and other third-party applications as needed

  • Ensure that we are continually evaluating our systems against the finance roadmap; propose changes to business processes and adapt technological solutions to business needs, as they arise

  • Work with Club General Managers, Club Senior Leadership teams, and other cross-functional team members to provide feedback regarding what financial tools could help solve business needs

Experience Required

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience, inclusive of Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Financials

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize software tools (e.g., Workday, Adaptive Planning) to add value to operators

  • OfficeConnect and SQL experience a plus

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to forge relationships cross-functionally to foster open communication and ability to solve data needs proactively utilizing technology

  • Adaptive Planning certification preferred but not required
