General Manager – Midtown Athletic Club, Weston, FL
Lead a high-performing, multi-million-dollar fitness club operation.
Overview:
As General Manager of Midtown Athletic Club in Weston, FL, you’ll report directly to the VP of Operations and take full ownership of a high-performing, multi-million-dollar fitness club with diverse revenue channels. You’ll drive strategy, grow revenue, optimize operations, and elevate both associate and member experiences. The scope is broad—but the results are focused. This role is for a hands-on, data-driven leader who thrives on accountability and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. People Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, onboard, retain, and coach a high-performing leadership team
Build a culture of accountability, cohesion, and continuous improvement
Provide clear performance expectations and ongoing development
2. Strategic Alignment & Communication
Cascade organizational goals and strategy at every level of the club
Ensure clarity of mission, vision, and key initiatives across teams
Drive alignment between daily operations and long-term objectives
3. Sales & Growth Strategy
Champion a sales-driven culture focused on net membership growth
Implement best practices in prospecting, closing, and onboarding
Monitor lead conversion and retention KPIs to drive sustainable gains
4. Member Experience & Retention
Evaluate and enhance the member journey through direct observation and feedback loops
Drive service innovation that supports loyalty and engagement
Leverage insights to optimize experience across all touchpoints
5. Operational & Financial Performance
Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure operational efficiency and financial growth
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with a focus on variance analysis
Identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
Leverage performance data to make proactive business decisions
Conduct competitive and market analysis to maintain strategic advantages
Qualifications:
5+ years of proven success in General Management, ideally within a multi-million-dollar fitness, retail, or hospitality operation
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field
Deep experience in team leadership, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development
Financially fluent—strong command of P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial KPIs
Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from data and translate them into business strategy
Strong background in sales leadership, marketing execution, process optimization, and organizational transformation
Demonstrated ability to scale operations, reduce costs, and grow top-line revenue
High emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
Willingness to roll up your sleeves—no job is beneath you if it drives results
