Lead a high-performing, multi-million-dollar fitness club operation.

Overview:
As General Manager of Midtown Athletic Club in Weston, FL, you’ll report directly to the VP of Operations and take full ownership of a high-performing, multi-million-dollar fitness club with diverse revenue channels. You’ll drive strategy, grow revenue, optimize operations, and elevate both associate and member experiences. The scope is broad—but the results are focused. This role is for a hands-on, data-driven leader who thrives on accountability and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. People Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, onboard, retain, and coach a high-performing leadership team

  • Build a culture of accountability, cohesion, and continuous improvement

  • Provide clear performance expectations and ongoing development

2. Strategic Alignment & Communication

  • Cascade organizational goals and strategy at every level of the club

  • Ensure clarity of mission, vision, and key initiatives across teams

  • Drive alignment between daily operations and long-term objectives

3. Sales & Growth Strategy

  • Champion a sales-driven culture focused on net membership growth

  • Implement best practices in prospecting, closing, and onboarding

  • Monitor lead conversion and retention KPIs to drive sustainable gains

4. Member Experience & Retention

  • Evaluate and enhance the member journey through direct observation and feedback loops

  • Drive service innovation that supports loyalty and engagement

  • Leverage insights to optimize experience across all touchpoints

5. Operational & Financial Performance

  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure operational efficiency and financial growth

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with a focus on variance analysis

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality

  • Leverage performance data to make proactive business decisions

  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to maintain strategic advantages

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven success in General Management, ideally within a multi-million-dollar fitness, retail, or hospitality operation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field

  • Deep experience in team leadership, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development

  • Financially fluent—strong command of P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial KPIs

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from data and translate them into business strategy

  • Strong background in sales leadership, marketing execution, process optimization, and organizational transformation

  • Demonstrated ability to scale operations, reduce costs, and grow top-line revenue

  • High emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves—no job is beneath you if it drives results

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Lead with clarity, act with urgency, and stay accountable to results

  • Coach teams to perform, not just participate

  • Stay calm under pressure and decisive when it counts

  • Keep your eye on the big picture without missing the details

  • Build strong team culture and drive measurable business outcomes
