Head Camp Counselor (R-3504)

Midtown is looking for a Head Camp Counselor to add to our world-class team.

The Position

As an integral part of the member services team, our Head Camp Counselor will inspire young members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

* Working a Full-Time Summer Position M-F for 12 weeks during the Summer.

* Working directly with the Camp Coordinator and filling in for that position

when needed.

* Acting as Camp Runner permanently and all the responsibilities that go

with it.

* Help Camp Coordinator plan and implement daily camp activities and

Daily Camp Agendas.

* Will cover associate breaks and supervise and implement daily agenda

with the campers.

• Leading children through organized events, activities and sports

• Acting as a positive role model

• Communicating with parents before and after sessions

• Operating under pressure, while ensuring participant safety at all times.

Our Head Camp Counselor:

• Has previous experience as a teacher, camp counselor or day care worker

• Has an area of youth programming expertise (athletic, creative, or academic)

• Possesses outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adults 

• Has high energy levels and can keep children moving in a variety of activities 

• Has patience and is outgoing and friendly 

• Is highly organized, energetic, and can multi task
