Lead Lifeguard (R-3518)

Midtown is looking for a Lead Lifeguard to watch over our pools and ensure the safety of our aquatics areas.

The Position

As an integral leadership role of the aquatics team. This position will hold responsibility during a guard shift. Reporting directly to the Aquatics Manager on member, maintenance, and staff issues. This position holds the most responsibility on the deck and will be accountable for - keeping the guards in check, managing break times during shift, deck maintenance, etc.

All of our Lifeguards inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

• Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure safety of patrons

• Maintaining Daily Records and Logs

• Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning

• Maintaining cleanliness of aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience

• Maintaining High Quality Lifeguard skills

Lifeguard requirements:

• Customer service oriented, with great interpersonal skills

• Prior Lifeguard experience is essential.

• Are strong swimmers trained and certified in water rescue

• Possess Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
