Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and troubleshoot facility repairs through daily walk throughs.
  • Provide regular upkeep and maintenance of the property – indoor and outdoor.
  • Provide regular testing and troubleshooting of aquatic facilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of facilities and follow through on preventative and planned maintenance tasks and maintenance requests.
  • Consistently present a pleasant, attentive and courteous attitude toward members, guests and fellow associates.
  • Take pride in themselves and their work.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Have certification or training in one or many of the following: roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and/or painting.
  • Possess functional knowledge of preventative maintenance programs of building systems and equipment.
  • Hold or obtain certification within three months of starting employment as Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
  • Experience working with pools, tennis courts and/or fitness equipment a bonus.
  • Be comfortable with computers and basic data management, including facility management software.
  • Comfortable with identifying and troubleshooting facility and equipment related issues.
  • Are self-directed requiring little to no supervision once a task is assigned.
  • Understand prioritization and a sense of urgency; able to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely.
  • Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks as needed.
  • Safely and skillfully use all types of related hand and power tools.
  • Must be a member of or willing to join Local 399.
