Swim Instructor (FR: R-4672)

Midtown is looking for an Swim Instructor to add to our first class organization.
 

The Position
As an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

• Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism
• Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience
• Prepare and execute lesson plans based on curriculum for Infant, Preschool & Youth levels
• Evaluate swimmers to ensure proper progression of skill set
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and families
• Promoting and providing private lessons

Our Aquatics Coaches:

• Have 2-years teaching experience with a recognized swim program or competitive swimming background and passion for working with children
• Possess current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred)
• Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information kindly, clearly, concisely, and timely
• Lessons times are Monday – Friday 9:00 – 11:15am & 3:45 – 6:30pm and Saturday & Sunday 9:00 – 1:00pm.
