Midtown is looking for a Head Lifeguard to add to our world-class team.

Position Summary

  • As an integral part of the aquatics and lifeguard team, our Head Lifeguards inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

  • Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism

  • Engaging more members in more programs and with more lifeguards

  • Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience 

  • Monitoring lifeguards and ensuring they are following safety protocols

  • Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area.

  • Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations.

  • Perform water rescues and administer basic first aid as needed.

  • Inspect the facility on a daily basis and report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to your manager.

  • Direct swimmers in and out of the pool in hazardous conditions.

  • Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool.

  • Pay rate for Head Lifeguards start at $17.00

Our Head Lifeguards:

  • Have at least two or more years of lifeguard supervisory experience 

  • Are able to effectively provide associate training and development

  • Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: CPR/AED, First Aid, CPO, AFO or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
