Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Coach to add to our first-class organization.
The Position
As an integral part of the aquatics team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:
Demonstrating professionalism, resilience, continued growth and optimism
Build lesson plans based on the Midtown curriculum and teach to expectations
Have excellent engagement skills to build trust and open communication
Maintaining aquatics areas and equipment to promote positive member experience
Provide availability to teach during Group Lesson times which may include: Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 11:15am, Monday - Friday 3:45pm - 6:30pm, Friday 9:35am – 11:50am, Saturday & Sunday 9:00am-1:00pm.
Our Aquatics Coaches:
Have 2-years’ experience with a recognized swim school or 4 years competitive swim experience with a passion to work with children
Has Knowledge and Enthusiasm to teach Group lesson for the following age groups: 6-months to 36-months, 3-year to 5 year, & 6-year to 12-year

Current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications recommended (American Red Cross preferred)
Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
Position pay rate is $24.00 - $26.50 per instructional hour (tiered depending on experience, education and certifications)
