Midtown Athletic Clubs is seeking a Velocity Program Supervisor at the Windy Hill Athletic Club, to captain club tennis programs and activities, who is passionate about helping members and will foster their love of racquet sports.

The Velocity Program Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of Velocity, Explorers, junior competitive play (UTR, and USTA), and social events. This individual will be the ambassador for weekly junior player activities. The Junior Supervisor is nimble and adaptable and will thrive in a people environment, bringing energetic and inspiring leadership to the Junior Programs.

Junior Programs Supervisor responsibilities:

  • Increase programs’ visibility

  • Growth of the programs by addition of players and retention of existing players

  • Contribute to maintaining tennis areas providing exceptional facility experience

  • Be the joyful leader of the Junior Programs

  • Responsible for all in-club program communication

  • Oversee all junior program tennis coaches

  • Participation in coach micro-audits

  • Capable and available for on-court coaching of groups and private lessons, option to be on court as many as 20 hours per week to supplement primary junior leadership responsibilities.

Who You Are:

  • Have relevant coaching experience including group and private lessons for juniors, teams, and adults.

  • Possess one nationally recognized tennis certification or be willing to become certified within 6 months of hire.

  • Possess an NTRP rating of 4.0 or higher and be able to demonstrate skills effectively.

  • Safe Play certified

  • Have a growth mindset and are curious

  • Are passionate about helping others, love tennis and love inspiring others to play

What you can expect after submitting your application

Within two weeks, someone from our Talent Team will review your application. If your experience doesn't align with the needs of the role at this time, we will let you know. If we'd like to move you to the next step of the process, we'll reach out to schedule the first interview.

While there can be the occasional exception, the interview process typically takes 2-3 weeks and includes the following steps.

  1. A 30 to 60-minute virtual Teams call with a member of the Talent Team to discuss Midtown, the role, and your background and experience.
  2. A 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager, ideally in person, where you'll dive deeper into the technical side of the role.
  3. A 90-minute panel interview, and club tour, with members of the team and the applicable National Director (e.g. National Program Manager for fitness roles)

You'll receive an update on your application within 48 hours of each interview. Please note that, depending on the specifics of the role, it may take up to a week to finalize offer decisions.
